February 2 Executive Action on the Public Charge Rule
On Tuesday, February 2, the Biden administration signed an executive order to review the Public Charge rule—a harmful policy that discourages immigrants across New York City and the country from accessing SNAP and other important public benefits.
If the rule is ended, thousands of immigrant New Yorkers will no longer need to choose between having food on the table and living in this country. We are one step closer to ensuring that food is a basic right for all New Yorkers.
However, immigrant New Yorkers cannot wait. Join us and ask President Biden to end the Public Charge rule today.
We will continue to rescue and deliver good food for our neighbors in need and advocate for policies that protect every New Yorker, doing all we can to make sure everyone in our city has access to fresh, affordable food for themselves and their families.
Thank you for standing with us to support our NYC neighbors.
