2024 City Harvest Advocacy Awards

Since 2020, the annual City Harvest Advocacy Awards have recognized the exceptional contributions of partner food pantry and soup kitchen organizations in advocating to end hunger and food waste in New York City. This year, we are thrilled to also recognize our inaugural cohort of dedicated City Harvest advocacy volunteers.

In addition to ensuring that our neighbors have the food they need, these award recipients went above and beyond by making their voices heard and advocating for city, state, and federal policies that support New Yorkers. Together, as a larger City Harvest community, we successfully advocated for over $170 million in city and state funds to support critical anti-hunger programs; engaged over 3,000 New Yorkers in our campaign to Get Out the Vote; identified city, state, and federal policy priorities to end hunger in New York City; traveled to Albany and Washington, D.C. to advocate alongside elected officials; and so much more.

Please join us in celebrating the collective accomplishments of our 2024 Advocacy Award recipients, including the record-breaking number of 76 partner organizations and 23 exceptional individual volunteers.
