Repack To Give Back

Help Feed NYC this Holiday Season

Right now, 50% of working-age households in New York City do not make enough to cover the minimum cost of living in NYC—including basics like food, rent, and utilities. The need for food assistance in the five boroughs is the highest on record, according to a City Harvest analysis of data from FeedNYC. Average monthly visits to New York City food pantries and soup kitchens this year remain up more than 82% compared to 2019.

Last year, 1,840 volunteers from 58 groups helped to repack 60,800 bags of food, containing apples, pears, stuffing, canned corn, and more, to be distributed to New Yorkers in need, free of charge.

Repack to Give Back returned on November 7 and runs through the holiday season. Email [email protected] to learn more and sign up.
