Repack To Give Back

Help Feed NYC this Holiday Season

Right now, 50% of working-age households in New York City do not make enough to cover the minimum cost of living in NYC—including basics like food, rent, and utilities. The need for food assistance in the five boroughs is the highest on record, according to a City Harvest analysis of data from FeedNYC. Average monthly visits to New York City food pantries and soup kitchens this year remain up more than 82% compared to 2019.

Repack to Give Back returned on November 7, 2024 and ran through the holiday season: 1,578 volunteers from 67 corporate groups helped to repack 302,281 pounds of food—including canned holiday staples, apples, carrots, and more—into 70,300 bags, to be distributed to our NYC neighbors in need, free of charge.
